According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Fox
Terrier dog was fed cat food by her owners since 2012, which may have
contributed to her longevity.
"Pebbles, the oldest dog in the world, passed away
naturally and peacefully, at home and surrounded by her family," revealed
the owners on Instagram.
The dog was born on March 28, 2000, in Long Island, New
York, and has lived primarily in the State of South Carolina.
With a small body of around two kilos, she gave birth to 32
puppies in her lifetime.
Pebbles was named the oldest dog in the world in May 2022.
According to her owner, Julie Gregory, Pebbles' health
secret lay in the way she took care of the dog, confiding that she did so
"with the utmost care".
A country music aficionado, Pebbles died five months before
her 23rd birthday.
