The two recommendations were rejected with PS, PSD and IL voting against, Chega abstaining and in Favor of PCP, BE, PAN and Livre.

In its draft resolution, the PCP recommended that the Government increase the minimum wage to 850 euros as early as January of the next year.

The BE party also proposed an increase to 800 euros and a negotiation with a view to updating the salaries of Public Administration workers, “taking as a basic proposal increases in line with inflation”.

In the State Budget proposal, the Government proposes that the minimum wage evolves to 760 euros in 2023 - with the objective of reaching 900 euros in 2026 - and that civil service workers have, at least, an increase of 52.11 euros per month in base salaries, while an appreciation of at least 2% is also guaranteed.
