According to data from the National Water Resources
Information System (SNIRH), the average storage for the month of November in
the Barlavento basin is 58%.
At the end of November, those with less water availability
were the Mira (34.8%), Arade and Sado (35.7%), Oeste (47.3%), Tejo (55.3%),
Cávado (57.7%), Douro (58.2%) and Guadiana (59.4%).
The Mondego (70.4%), Lima (79.9%) and Ave (95.9%) basins
were the ones with the highest levels.
Twenty-six of the 60 monitored reservoirs had, at the end of
November, water availability below 40% of the total volume, while 11 had values
above 80%, according to SNIRH data.
On the last day of November, and compared to the previous
month, there was an increase in the volume stored in eight hydrographic basins
and a decrease in four.
The November 2022 storages by hydrographic basin are lower
than the August storage averages (1990/91 to 2021/22), except for the Lima, Ave, and Mondego basins.
Each hydrographic basin can correspond to more than one reservoir.
