Only three out of 10 small and medium-sized companies accept card payments, rising to 54% in the case of medium-sized companies, according to a study carried out by Inmark Europe for Mastercard Portugal.

The "Card barometer for micro-enterprises, SMEs and medium-sized enterprises" also revealed that those that accept payments with cards justify this decision with ease and convenience in payments (60%), security (33%) and with the improvement/facility/speed of sales (32%).

This analysis includes companies with a turnover of less than 50 million euros in 2020 which was reported by NM.
