The leader of STOP, André Pestana, appealed for the adhesion
of teachers and non-teaching staff and even the policemen who were supervising
the concentration at the National Museum of Ancient Art, in Lisbon, where
negotiations between the Government and unions are taking place today because
of the strikes that have undermined the functioning of schools in recent weeks.
Revealing that he received a call from the Ministry for a meeting this afternoon to discuss the existence of minimum services from February 1st, André Pestana launched the challenge for mobilization: “We have to fill Lisbon again before February 1st. So take note: the 28th, Saturday, before the start of the minimum services, again from Marquês to Terreiro do Paço”.
