In the final, Caitlin Simmers scored 13.50 points on the two best waves (7.17 and 6.33), out of a possible 20, against 12.83 (9 and 3.83) by Courtney Conlogue.
The MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, the third stage of the WSL main circuit, started on Saturday and ended yesterday (14 March), with Brazilian João Chianca winning the men's event, after beating Australian Jack Robinson, the leader in the world circuit, in the final.
