According to ECO, the brand wants to gain ground in the national market with “clothing and textile products manufactured with responsibility and quality, at the lowest possible price”.

This first space of the multinational, which has more than 1,300 stores in eight European countries and also operates online, will be inaugurated on Avenida da República, in Matosinhos. For Zeeman, “Portugal will be a key part of the growth plan in Europe”.

“We are very excited to finally arrive in Portugal, which will be an important country for our expansion strategy in Europe”, says Zeeman Director Sales, Real Estate & Construction, René de Lege. “We are known in Europe for the quality of our clothing and our everyday basics, at the lowest possible price, and we intend to bring the same concept to Portugal”.

The Dutch multinational, founded in 1967, has a wide range of products, from clothing for babies and children, tights and socks, bed, bath and kitchen textiles, and underwear, lingerie and pyjamas. It also markets non-textile products such as home accessories and cleaning products.

The company has more than 70 million customers in stores located in countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Spain, Luxembourg and Austria.
