Two classic Formula 1 single-seaters have arrived in Portugal to integrate into the new Caramulo Experience Centre, a space created by the Museu do Caramulo and which recently celebrated its first anniversary. The F1 cars are Jordan 199 and a Sauber C18, both from the 1999 season.

The Jordan 199, piloted by Heinz-Harald Frentzen, and equipped with the Mugen-Honda MF-301HD 3.0 L V10 engine, was the most successful car of the Jordan team, throughout its 15 years of presence in the F1 World Championship. With this single-seater, Heinz-Harald Frentzen achieved two victories, one pole position and contributed decisively for Jordan to finish in third place in the World Constructors' Championship.

As for the Sauber C18, it was at the service of Jean Alesi, a driver who also worked for teams such as Tyrrel, Ferrari, Benetton, and Prost Grand Prix. The single-seater is equipped with a Petronas engine (the name for the customer version of the Ferrari 048/B/C 3.0L V10 engine).

Both the Jordan 199 and the Sauber C18 will be on display at the Caramulo Experience Centre, over the next three months, and can be visited every day of the week, between 10am and 6pm.
