This non-competitive event aims to incentivise residents and visitors in the Lagoa area of the Algarve to practice more physical exercise and improve their general health. The walks/runs are activities that are possible for people of all ages and all lifestyles.

In the months of July and August, on Wednesdays at 8:30pm, the various parishes of the municipality will be crossed, as well as their most iconic spots:

· July 12 – Lagoa (Pavilhão Municipal Jacinto Correia)

· July 19 – Porches (Largo da Igreja da Sra. Da Rocha)

· July 26 – Parchal (Estádio da Belavista)

· August 2 – Ferragudo (Largo Rainha D. Leonor)

· August 9 – Estômbar (Jardim Municipal)

· August 16 – Carvoeiro (Largo da Praia)

The Moonlit Walks offer two routes, a walking one and a running one. The walking route is about 5km, while the running route extends for 10km.

Sign-ups can be made online on the municipality’s site or in person at the Municipal Services secretaries at the Unions or Parish offices, or at the starting point of the walk itself on the day.

Access to the walks is free. It’s advised to bring a flashlight.
