The newspaper put together 12 perfect destinations for a getaway or a longer vacation this summer and Portugal is featured twice in the list.

Viana do Castelo is one of the mentioned, with the Praça da República, Colina de Santa Luzia and Cabedelo beach standing out. "An endless stretch of sand surrounded by dunes and pine forests. It's great for surfing and windsurfing", reveals the newspaper.

Another of the national highlights is given to Peniche. "Surfers flock here all year round because, if there are no waves on one side of the peninsula, there are likely to be waves on the other", they explain.
