At issue is the monitoring carried out on 63 essential food products (which includes products covered by zero VAT, but not only), which include turkey, chicken, hake, horse mackerel, onion, potato, carrot, banana, apple, orange, rice, spaghetti, sugar, ham, milk, cheese and butter, among others. In the last week, that is, between September 20th and 27th, the price of this basket increased by 1.85 euros (0.86%) to 217.87 euros.

Last week, oranges were the product that rose the most in price, having risen 17% (30 cents) compared to the previous week. This is followed by spiral pasta (16%), whole wheat, rice and oat cereals (15%), aged cheese (11%), deep-frozen peas (10%), crustless bread (9% ), extra virgin olive oil, sea bass, fish fingers and cod (all 7%).
