The order, signed by the ministers of Internal Administration and Finance, authorises the opening of 500 places for admission to the Agent Training Course to begin in 2023, with a view to joining the ranks of the Public Security Police.
These admissions to the PSP were foreseen in the 2023 State Budget and, between March and April of this year, the PSP held a competition to create a recruitment reserve for admission to the Agent Training Course intended for entry into the career of PSP agents.
At the beginning of the month, 584 new police officers completed their agent course.
The lack of personnel in this police force and the consequent aging, as well as the lack of candidates, have been one of the main problems highlighted by the PSP unions.
These 500 new police are not for fighting crime they are for standing around on street corners collecting fines off folks, pure greed as if they don't collect enough with all their brand new cars and top of the range BMW motor bikes, none of this new money will go on social services or orphans, just themselves.

Yes these 500 new agents should perform there duties well its a question mark because earlier the way in which SEF was working was very late and lots of files have been pending, so let's see what they will do?.
