This is one of the conclusions to be drawn from the study carried out by Observador Cetelem, a commercial brand of the BNP Paribas Personal Finance group, and reported by idealista.
According to the study, among the main reasons given for moving house are a change of household (33%); economic reasons (32%); and professional reasons (17%).
“The majority (31%) of those who gave economic reasons for moving house are between the ages of 35 and 44. On the other hand, it is in the younger age group (between 18 and 24 years old) where there is a higher percentage for other reasons: change of household (43%) and professional reasons (30%)”, concludes the study.
Homeowners
The majority of respondents, almost seven in ten (69%), say they own their own home, while 28% live in a rented house. The remaining 4% of respondents chose the “other” option, with living in a family home being included in this option, explains the company.
In Porto there are more people with their own home (72%), according to the study, followed by the South (71%) and North (68%) regions.
