"This pool is very similar to the others, but much larger, 20 meters wider and 15 metres longer," councillor Ricardo Silva told journalists.

According to the mayor, this new equipment measuring 1,500 square meters (50 by 30 meters) will have pressure jets and water cascades.

"The objective is for it to be completed at the beginning of summer, before the bathing season, but now everything depends on the tender procedure", he highlighted.

The new swimming pool will be located on the beach, in the middle of Avenida do Brasil and its construction is due to the success of the other two, which, last summer, in around a month and a half of operation, registered around 70 thousand visitors.
