In an investment of €750 thousand, the Hospital Amato Lusitano (HAL) in Castelo Branco will include a new birth unit.

This project arose from an increase in the number of births, from 370 in 2022 to 400 in 2023, registered by HAL. The new birth unit offers paediatric emergency separate from the general emergency, also accommodating the child development unit.
