After traveling around the world several times, with screenings at more than 270 festivals in 66 countries, the documentary about the Azorean festival dedicated to world music, through chordophones, is now available online from the official website miratecarts.com and its online platforms.


"It's been an incredible journey since the first performance at the Madalena Auditorium, and the first award received at the ART&TUR festival", admits producer Terry Costa. "From Hollywood to Cape Town, Mexico to South Korea, several European countries and the Middle East, to India, the country that screened the documentary in a dozen cities and awarded the work the most awards, and even the special Golden Award that arrived from Dubai, it's always a surprise when a community gives us a prize, or honorable mention, for the work achieved on the islands."

With English subtitles, the documentary about the Cordas World Music Festival has managed to take the name of the village of Madalena, the island of Pico, the Azores, Portugal, to almost three hundred film and video festivals, and special presentations at universities, libraries, museums and cultural centers. "Last night it was shown at the Angra do Heroísmo Museum, part of Shortcutz, and last week it was shown at the short film festival in Greece and at Talkfest - Music Forum, in Lisbon", adds Terry Costa. "It has already reached Asian television through TDM Macau, a Chinese channel and a Portuguese channel, after having debuted on RTP Açores, but it has been through TAP Inflight Entertainment that we have received many comments from the public. Not a week goes by without communication on social media, or via email, from someone in Brazil, or somewhere in North America, or even from African countries where TAP flies, who saw the documentary on their trip. It's an incredible visibility for our work and for our region."
