Portugal is getting smaller; according to a report by Visão, in the decade between 2010 and 2021, Portugal lost 1.3 km2 to the sea.

Portugal should do what Holland did, recover land from the sea. drop big boulders around the Portuguese coast, to keep the sand from washing out into the sea. Also plant trees along the Portuguese coast. And maybe build some dikes to keep the sea far from the land. It'll take some planning and It'll cost money, and work. But it's worth it to keep the sand and dirt from washing into the sea.
