At the weekend, they should even exceed 25 degrees in some areas of the country and in the second week of the month, temperatures are expected to tip the 30 degree mark.

Cristina Simões, meteorologist at the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), told Notícias ao Minuto that the data for the next few days point to some precipitation, especially in the North and Center, and a drop in temperature is expected, with the continental territory to be affected by a cold frontal surface.

From Friday onwards, there will be a gradual rise in temperatures, explains the meteorologist, with temperatures close to 26/27 degrees expected over the weekend.

This trend will continue throughout the week and, from the 7th and 8th, highs are expected to reach 30 degrees in some areas of the country, similar to what happened in April.
