Among other requests, the Council of São Jorge Island will ask the Regional Government for the formulation of policies to support entrepreneurship as a means of countering depopulation. Moreover, according to a message that was sent to José Manuel Bolieiro, the president of the Azorean administration (PSD/CDS-PP/PPM), the Island’s Council also supports the Digital Nomads project's implementation.

The necessity of fostering entrepreneurship is defended in the document that was forwarded to José Manuel Bolieiro after the Island Council met on 17 May, which among other things, focused on "the rapid depopulation given the size of the island, according to the Censuses". On the other hand, the advisors warn of the “urgency in simplifying the application processes and rigorous and clear definition of the evaluation criteria” within the scope of the 2030 Operational Program, along with the “need for continuous dissemination and support of Construir 2030 among entrepreneurs”.

According to the advisors, there’s an urgent need to reinforce the sea and air connections available. “It is important to guarantee daily access connections to the outside of the region via existing 'gateways', also safeguarding regular flights, during after-work hours, that allow the entry and exit of passengers and avoiding diversion to other ports when the connection has as destination the port of Calheta”.

The Azores Statute mandates that the Regional Government meet with the Government Council on each island it visits within its minimum yearly visitation schedule of all the islands in the archipelago.
