In a statement, AMN explains that, after receiving information from the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), responsible for carrying out the analyses, advising against going swimming on that beach, instructions were given to raise the red flag.

Notices were also placed at the beach access points, prohibiting swimming.

Azarujinha beach is in São João do Estoril, in the municipality of Cascais, district of Lisbon.

The closures will remain in place until the results of the new water quality analysis indicate that the microbiological values ​​are within the reference parameters, according to the AMN.
