There are also plans to offer this to readers in Porto and more parts of the country by the end of the year.
The new free distribution points join the extensive free pick-up points which already exist in the Algarve and are part of plans by The Portugal News to reach more people in Portugal with positive news.
The Portugal News has experienced considerable growth over the last few years, the online presence of the newspaper has grown exponentially and we publish content in more than 20 languages that have attracted over seven million users to date in 2024. Outside Portugal, we have a particularly strong digital presence in the US, the UK, South Africa, Ireland, and a number of other European countries, where we are the leading source of online news and information about Portugal. The internationally renowned media ranking organisation SCIMedia judged The Portugal News to be the fifth most influential media company in Portugal in the second quarter of 2024.
