According to a statement from Everything is New, the concert is part of the “The Night the Zombies Came” tour, to present the album of the same title, which is scheduled to be released in October.

“In 2024, the Pixies will celebrate important milestones such as the release of their 10th studio album, ‘The Night the Zombies Came’, the 35th anniversary since the album ‘Doolittle’, which catapulted them to success in the United Kingdom, and 20 years since their reunion at Coachella”, recalled the promoter.

Tickets will go on sale at 9:00 am on Friday, with prices ranging from 29 to 50 euros, plus taxes.

Formed in 1986 in Boston by vocalist and guitarist Black Francis, guitarist Joey Santiago, bassist Kim Deal (now occupied by Emma Richardson) and drummer David Lovering, the Pixies assumed a prominent place in American alternative music, with a strong presence in Europe, right from their debut album, “Surfer Rosa”, in 1988.

With several titles that marked the music scene of the time, such as “Doolittle” and “Bossa Nova”, the Pixies split up shortly afterwards, in the early 1990s, and returned to action in 2004, with a series of concerts that included Portugal.
