According to the results of the autumn Eurobarometer, 28% of Portuguese people identify housing as the main problem facing Portugal. But there was a slight improvement, with a reduction of 3 percentage points compared to the barometer carried out in the spring.
Ahead of Portugal, there are four countries where housing is highlighted as the main concern: Ireland (63%), Luxembourg (51%), the Netherlands (47%) and Spain (35%). In all European Union countries, only 13% of Europeans mention housing as a central problem.
There are countries where housing does not appear to be an urgent concern for citizens, such as Sweden (2%), Greece (2%) and Bulgaria (2%), the same data reveals. In fact, in 15 countries less than 10% of citizens identified housing as a central problem.
