Bright International School is undergoing an exciting transformation with extensive renovation works underway during the holiday period. The first stage of the renovations, which began on December 2, focuses on transforming the lower secondary facilities to provide a modern, flexible space that caters to the diverse learning needs of its students. The renovation team has been working tirelessly, completing the new facilities in time for the start of Term 2 on January 6.
These renovation efforts are part of a broader master project by the Sharing Education Group to elevate Bright International School into one of the leading educational institutions in the Algarve and beyond. The Sharing Education Group, which also includes the internationally recognised International Sharing Schools, has earned a reputation for excellence, with its schools being nominated as Top 10 “must-watch” International Schools in Europe. Bright International School is well on its way to joining this prestigious list.
The renovation projects reflect the school’s commitment to its evolving pedagogical philosophy, which places students at the centre of the learning process. Since Bright became part of the Sharing Education Group in early 2024, the school has undergone significant changes in terms of teaching methodologies, leadership, and now, its physical learning environments. Developed in collaboration with the renowned Danish design studio Rosan Bosch, the new facilities are designed to support the Sharing Education Concept, which emphasises that every student learns differently and requires an adaptable space to thrive.
Each classroom and learning area within the renovated facilities is designed to offer a variety of working areas, allowing students to choose the most suitable environment for their learning at any given time. These spaces are flexible, enabling students to work individually, collaborate with peers, or even engage in quiet reflection, depending on their needs, mood, and the subject matter. This personalised approach ensures that students can learn in a way that best suits their individual strengths, nurturing an environment where diverse learning styles are celebrated.
As the school continues to grow and evolve, Bright is also organising an Open Day early in 2024, with the exact date to be announced in January. This event will provide prospective students and families with an opportunity to experience the school’s new facilities and innovative educational approach firsthand. The future looks bright for Bright International School as it continues its journey toward becoming a leading institution in Europe.
