In a statement, the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP (Cometlis) states that the detainees are two men and one woman, aged between 20 and 26 years.
“At 7pm, the policemen were faced with a party on the public road, with about 30 young people gathering, in a situation of disobedience to the general duty of home collection and consuming alcoholic beverages, and it was possible to identify and notify five of them to move to their home”, explains the PSP.
However, the note adds, hours later, "the same policemen were again called for an occurrence, of the same nature and with the same group of young people, but in another location".
“With the arrival of the PSP, the young people managed to escape, and it was possible to intercept one of them, who had already been notified at the 7pm party, so he was arrested for disobedience under the provisions of the state of emergency”, they point out.
The PSP would come across, on the same night “another party taking place on the public road”, in which it was possible to detain another of the suspects who had participated in the previous gatherings.
“The policemen verified that it was the same group of young people from the two previous situations, and this time, in addition to putting themselves on the run, they also hurled stones from the sidewalk at the policemen, making it possible to intercept and arrest another suspect for attempted aggression towards the police,” says the PSP.
The third detention took place in the early hours of Monday, when the PSP was called due to complaints of noise on the public road.
“In this third occurrence, a woman was arrested for the crime of disobedience, since she, in addition to being notified at the first party at 7pm on the previous day, was also in the second occurrence regarding throwing stones at police officers”, concludes the note.
