In a statement, STCP states that the "transitional measure" starts on Friday and "ends with the Christmas vacation period."
This agreement, adds the statement, "provided for a transitional reinforcement for 2021, with a maximum financing amount of 750 thousand euros and which was distributed in two phases".
“The first phase took place between May 24 and June 23, with the strengthening of the frequency of 12 STCP bus lines, which translated into an increase in the operator's offer to 106%. The second phase of the transitional reinforcement is identical to the initial one, being in effect on weekdays, between the beginning of October and December 17. On weekends and holidays, these reinforcements do not apply”, indicates the company.
The statement recalls that “all information on the timetables and frequencies of the STCP network lines are available on the company's website (www.stcp.pt), as well as at the various bus stops”.
The lines that will be reinforced are: 200, 201, 203, 204, 205, 207, 208, 305, 501, 703, 800, 801 and 907.
The carrier also states that Line 600 will also have a “significant increase in the number of seats offered, with exclusive recourse to articulated vehicles, on weekdays, during the daytime hours currently practiced”.
