Portugal is among the smallest spenders when it comes to measures implemented to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. According to research published by the European Central Bank, Portugal has invested 3 percent of its GDP in fighting the coronavirus, which is only surpassed by Finland and Spain. In terms of economic measures, such as the moratorium on loans and mortgages, Portugal moves up towards the middle of the table among European nations.
