The minister, who was speaking to Portuguese journalists at the end of a Council of Fisheries Ministers of 27, which he chaired, said that in 2021 Portugal had a quota of 2,607 tonnes of cod in Norwegian waters and 2,274 tonnes in the area of Svalbard.
Last year, the cod fishing quota allocated to Portugal in Norway was 2,900 tonnes, while in Svalbard it was 2,418 tonnes.
