“All airlines have lost 'slots'. We do not expect a different treatment for TAP. Obviously, we want to limit the loss of 'slots' to a minimum”, said Pedro Nuno Santos, who was speaking at a press conference at the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The official also recalled that the 'slots' (hourly vacancies at an airport for an airline to land and take off planes) are “very important” to link, for example, Europe to Africa or even the United States.
Ban all slots for money grabbers RYANAIR then you would have plenty for TAP your own airline. Look after your own for once.

My view is the opposite. Stop subsidising TAP and give Ryanair the opportunities they seek. After all there is a limit to how far they fly with the planes they have. They aren’t going to fly to Brazil in a hurry.
