Experts and politicians met yesterday at national drug watchdog Infarmed's headquarters in Lisbon, where they discussed the current epidemiological situation in the country.

The news is encouraging, with the head of the Directorate General for Health’s (DGS) Epidemiology and Statistics department Pedro Pinto Leite, saying that we are at the "end of an epidemic phase". Nonetheless the Government has postponed the announcement of possible new relief measures until next week.
