In a statement, the GNR says that the objective of the “RoadPol – Heavy goods and passenger vehicles” operation is to guarantee safety conditions in the transport of people and goods and the detection of infractions.

The operation will be carried out on the most critical roads and where there is a greater volume of traffic for this type of vehicle.

Roadpol, of which GNR is a member and national representative, is an organisation established by European traffic police, with the purpose of improving road safety and law enforcement on the roads.

“With this action, the aim is to raise public awareness of the importance of adopting safer behaviours by professional drivers, with a view to promoting road safety and safeguarding human lives”, indicated the GNR, in the same note .
