Passengers advised to take Covid test before going to airport

ANA has reported that Covid-19 testing at Lisbon airport had been doubled over weekend, but, given the "high demand", they have appealed to passengers to favour other locations to perform the test.

“Despite the reinforcement of resources and the increase in capacity for this weekend, demand remains high. Therefore, we ask that passengers undergo the test before coming to the airport and that this is not considered as a first option”, said the official source of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal to Lusa.

According to the concessionaire, "passengers wishing to carry out a test at the airport must make their prior appointments on the Synlab website", and "priority will be given to passengers with a flight for the same day".

Advancing that "about 2,200 tests" were carried out on Saturday, ANA said that on Sunday "more than 800" had already been carried out, with "10 service stations in operation" and "the existing means have been duplicated".

Television images broadcast on Saturday afternoon showed huge lines of people waiting to take the Covid-19 test at Humberto Delgado Airport.

Maybe I'm mistaking, but I thought the selling of single use disposable plastics we're made illegal in Portugal?! What about all the plastic tests??

Welcome to Clown World Fred. In it, the media contradicts itself every single day, and just goes one pretending it's normal. Also politicians fly private jets to climate chance conferences, and buy property by the beach, despite the 'alarming rise of sea levels'. Not to mention muzzling their populations, forcing them to stay at home, while they attend fancy birthday bashes for ex presidents, and diners and get togethers, with muzzled serfs serving them.
This plastic thing you mention, is nothing compared to the giant multifaceted scam they are pulling on all of us, in every single area of our common mortal lives.
And the Clown World populace baaa-baaas like obedient little sheep, without a single braincell between them.

Anyone who tried to get a test at a pharmacy to travel between Christmas and the New Year would have been told to come back next year.
