According to the monthly employment and unemployment statistics, in November 2021, "the unemployment rate stood at 6.3 percent, down 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, the same as three months earlier and down 0.9 percentage points from a year earlier."
In the month under review, the unemployed population (326,900) decreased by 0.8 percent compared to October and 11.1 percent compared to the same month in 2020, having increased by 0.6 percent compared to three months earlier, the statistical authority clarified.
In turn, the employed population (4,852,800) increased 0.3 percent from the previous month, 0.4 percent from three months earlier and 3.1 percent compared to a year earlier.
The working population (5,179,700) also increased by 0.2 percent compared to October, 0.4 percent compared to August 2021 and 2.1 percent compared to November 2020.
The inactive population (2,505,400), on the other hand, decreased in all three aspects of comparison: 0.3 percent compared to October 2021, 0.6 percent compared to August 2021 and 3.7 percent compared to November 2020.
As for the labour underutilisation rate, it stood at 11.7 percent, a November, a value identical to the previous month and 0.6 percentage points lower than three months earlier and by 2.3 points compared with the same month of 2020.
