In a statement, the PJ said the cocaine "was found in a cargo transported on a commercial flight from Sao Paulo to Porto, consisting of 60 boxes of craft beer that concealed, diluted, a quantity of cocaine with a high percentage of purity, a total of 260 kilograms.
The suspicion of the abnormality of the contents of the said cargo resulted from a control made by the Customs Services of the Tax and Customs Authority at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, explained the investigating police.
Following this, "the intervention of the Judicial Police was requested, which, through the Laboratory of Forensic Science, determined the presence and degree of purity of the drug," the publication said.
The PJ says, meanwhile, that the detainee, with "criminal record for drug trafficking, will be presented to the first judicial interrogation for application of the measures of coercion deemed appropriate".
