“Bank of Portugal warns that the alleged entities that operate through the pages on the social network Facebook under the designation of 'Régina Aldama' and 'Jean Alfred Hitchcock' (https://www.facebook.com/regina.fleurette.5 and https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100072610151462), are not authorised to exercise, in Portugal, any financial activity reserved for institutions subject to the supervision of the Bank of Portugal, namely, the granting of credit, credit intermediation and the provision of consultancy services in relation to credit contracts”, reads a notice published on the banking supervisor's website.

The BdP recalled that the granting of credit and the activities of credit intermediation and the provision of consultancy services in relation to credit contracts “are reserved for the entities authorised to exercise them”.

The lists of entities authorised for this purpose can therefore be consulted on the Banco de Portugal website and on the Banking Customer Portal.
