In a statement sent to the press, Swiss reveals that, this summer, it will start operating the Ponta Delgada-Zurich route with one flight per week, which will be carried out by Edelweiss, a subsidiary of Swiss, which will fly to the Azorean capital once a week.
This summer, Swiss will operate in the five Portuguese airports, in an operation that will once again have flights between Faro and Geneva, which will take place throughout the summer, with an increase in connections between Porto and Zurich, up to a maximum of three flights per day during the peak summer weeks.
The Swiss airline will also increase frequencies from Faro and Funchal to Zurich throughout the summer, routes that will be provided by Edelweiss, a subsidiary of Swiss, and which will run between April and October.
In Porto, Swiss will also operate to Geneva with up to two daily flights, while the Lisbon routes will have up to two flights a day in the case of Zurich, while the operation between the Portuguese capital and Geneva will have up to one flight a day.
Between Faro and Geneva, Swiss returns between June and October, while flights between Funchal and Geneva will only take place in the months of April/May and September/October.
