Our online numbers have been consistently growing, and last month we welcomed 800,238 unique users to the site, with all of this traffic being organic and not paid for. This represents an enormous 1.9 million page views, 1.3 million sessions and an average time on page of over 2 minutes.
Readers of The Portugal News come from all around the world, with a growing number coming from the USA, which now outstrips the traditional market of the UK. In May alone, 102,511 users came to The Portugal News online from the United States, while 101,766 came from the UK.
While the majority of our online readers come from Portugal (32.65 percent), we have seen huge growth since launching The Portugal News in Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish, Russian, Romanian, Chinese, Turkish and Hindi.
We now have over 50,000 users coming from the Netherlands each month, over 30,000 from Germany and an impressive 21,000 a month coming from Sweden alone.
