More than 610 personnel continue to fight, at around 9:00
am, the fire in the town of Garrocho, municipality of Covilhã.

According to the Castelo Branco District Operations and
Relief Center (CDOS), at 9:00 am, 614 firefighters were fighting the fire,
supported by 182 vehicles, supported by seven air assets.
The fire broke out at 3:18 am on Saturday, in the town of
Garrocho, parish of Cantar-Galo and Vila do Carvalho, in the municipality of
Covilhã (Castelo Branco), and spread to Manteigas, in the district of Guarda.
The National Road 338, which connects Piornos and Manteigas,
is still closed due to the fire.
