Greenvolt will proceed with the construction of five more
photovoltaic solar parks in Portugal. These projects will add, in the short
term, an additional capacity to generate renewable energy of about 70 megawatts
(MW), which will add to the 10 MW already in operation in Cantanhede.
“At a time when it is not only important to diversify energy
sources, but also to look for sustainable sources, Greenvolt has decided to
accelerate the projects it has under development in Portugal”, writes the
company led by João Manso Neto.
The five parks under construction are located in the centre
and south of the country and thus join the Cantanhede project which, according
to the note, will have the capacity to reach an estimated production of 16
gigawatts-hour (GWh) per year.
