According to a note from the District Attorney General of Lisbon (PGDL), the defendants entered the country on October 13, 2022, and the crimes took place the following day, in a hotel on Avenida da Liberdade, in Lisbon.

According to the PGDL, while one of the defendants was watching, the other two entered one of the rooms (in the hotel) and took possession of various goods, namely jewellery and leather goods, worth almost €28,500.

The defendants were intercepted, on October 15, at Lisbon airport, as they were preparing to leave the country, in possession of a large part of the stolen objects.

The investigation is led by the Lisbon Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP), with the assistance of the Public Security Police (PSP).
