The partial strike will take place between 10:00 and 12:00, with a demonstration outside the hospital units of the National Health Service (SNS) under the management of CHUA, in the district of Faro, indicated the Union of Portuguese Nurses (SEP) in a statement.

CHUA manages the hospitals in Faro, Portimão, and Lagos and the Basic Emergency Services in Lagos, Albufeira, Loulé, and Vila Real de Santo António.

The union justifies the stoppage by the fact that the administration of the hospital center in the Algarve “delays, without any justification, the fulfillment of the commitment to promote nurses and pay accordingly”.
