The land, which covers about 4,000 square meters, is located next to the Penha sports complex, on Avenida Cidade de Hayward, and is going to public auction with a base bidding price of 4,225,000 euros, the municipality said in a statement.
Interested parties may have access to the “parts that instruct the procedure” through the “consultation at the department of administrative and patrimonial management / heritage and cadastre service, in the Paços do Concelho building, or at the Loja do Munícipe, located in Loja do Cidadão do Faro Municipal Market”, from Monday to Friday, between 09:00 and 17:00.
The same source specified that “written proposals” must be sent “until 4:00 pm on March 20, through registered mail and with acknowledgment of receipt, in an opaque and closed envelope, addressed to the president of the public auction commission, to the address indicated in accordance with the parts of the procedure”.
Until 16:00 on February 27th, interested parties may also make “requests for clarification”, to which the public auction commission must respond by March 9th, the municipality also clarified.
“The public auction will take place on the 24th of March at 10:00 am, in the main hall of the Town Hall of Faro”

Another capitulation to the great god of tourism! No wonder higher education establishments are closing doors because young people have zero incentives to remain in the country.
