According to Christine Ourmières-Widener, this new preferential boarding service will be able to be “purchased by any passenger”, allowing business class passengers to board the plane right after.
“Preferential boarding can be purchased by any passenger and allows you to board the plane right after executive, Gold and Silver passengers”, explained the CEO of TAP.
In addition to this new service, Christine Ourmières-Widener also launched the new executive class menus, which result from a partnership with The Arte of Tasting Portugal, called Local Stars and which includes the participation of national chefs Henrique Sá Pessoa, Noélia Jerónimo, Cláudio Pontes, Júlio Pereira, Diogo Rocha and Óscar Geadas.
The official also recalled the improvements in the call centre and in the digital channels of TAP, which is developing “a new app”, as well as the relaunch of the Portugal Stopover programme, which has been extended and now has new features.
“In a renewed partnership with Turismo de Portugal, in addition to increasing the length of stay to 10 days, the Stopover now adds a wide range of new advantages and partners to those that already existed”, she recalled.
Obviously nothing to do and thinking of crazy ways to boost revenue. Tap already have a complicated and in my view stupid idea of boarding, and now it’s going to be even worse. BA may not be the best at boarding in Lisbon, mainly due to using TP staff, but it’s a lot easier. I’d like to fly TP more, but they’re just making it worse for me to change allegiance

Preferential boarding? What's the point? They are usually on strike and can't get off the ground anyway.
