Miguel Stilwell de Andrade warns that the price reduction “will depend on access tariffs”, but that in the energy component “it will still be a relevant reduction” that “could reach double digits”. But the price reduction will also be felt in gas which, after having shot up last year, "has been experiencing a reduction" which will also be reflected "in prices for consumers in Portugal".
To develop solar and wind farms, EDP has an investment plan planned for around 25 billion euros over the next four years to build around 16 gigawatts (GW). “To give you an idea, the installed capacity in Portugal at the moment is 20 GW”, says the CEO.
