At a young age, he prepared his canvases on his own and then took courses in drawing and painting at the University of Chicago, where he took part in his first group exhibition. Since then, he has worked in different styles with different means. The result is an explosion of colour, a whimsical organisation of forms. If his paintings are rather abstract, in his drawings a host of animals, most often birds, sometimes humans, form couples or groups, turned towards each other, uncertain, unbelieving, in search of solidarity and love.
