The first artist to exhibit is Paulo Frangolho. The large art pieces are characterized by the symbology used where we find a constant conversation between the dualisms of good and evil, heaven and hell, Yin and Yang, light and dark, soul and body, angels and monsters.

The artistic expression of Frangolho combines an eclectic mix of unexpected collages, overlays, acrylics and copper dust on canvas. Impressive are the black background paintings where the artist combines abstract graphics with representations of the angel Gabriel, forbidden books or the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden.

The exhibition is of free access and is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Conversations with the artist are possible by appointment.

“C1 Broker Art Project” is a philanthropic venture by C1 Broker, Corretora de Seguros, to promote and publicise contemporary artists of abstract and pop art in Portugal. The insurance broker specialises in art insurance, private collections and high-value home contents.

The pieces are available for direct sale with the artist. The exhibition is open from 1 July until 15 September 2023.
