Both the district of Faro and the archipelago of Madeira are under a yellow warning until 18:00 on Thursday due to the persistence of high maximum temperatures.
According to the IPMA, the yellow warning will also be in force in the same period for the district of Lisbon, but due to northwest winds, with gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour.
High temperatures had already led the IPMA to place, on Monday, more than 50 municipalities in the interior North and Centre, Alto Alentejo and the Algarve in maximum danger of fire.
