The number of individuals registered as sex workers in Germany rose by nearly 20% in 2022.

According to dw.com officials say the reason may be the ending of Covid-19 restrictions. The number of registered sex workers in Germany at the end of 2022 was 28,280, far lower than the pre-pandemic mark of 40,370.
