As stated by the president of the Municipal Council of Oliveira do Hospital, José Francisco Rolo, the inauguration of the new facilities of the Official Animal Collection Center will occur on the morning of the 27th of November.

“With three buildings, a kennel and a cattery, plus a support building, the CROA (Centro de Recolha Oficial Animal) has the capacity to collect and accommodate around 50 animals. It represents an investment of around €130 thousand”, he declared.

The facility has been designed to guarantee animal well-being and health, as well as the safety of the population.

“It is the work of responsibility and ethical spirit. This physical work should be complemented, with more awareness-raising actions for the responsible adoption of animals and sterilisation campaigns”, he added.
