Of the more than 75,000 babies born in Portugal up until November, the names Maria and Francisco were the most given baby names.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Maria and Francisco are the most popular names, acording to a report by CM.
Maria continues to be the most chosen name for girls since 2005. Francisco has topped boys’ names since 2019.
